New Super Mario Forever

New Super Mario Forever 2012 looks and feels just like the real deal, even down to the music. Though it takes far too long to set up and there are a few kinks, it's a great way to get your Mario fix. If you like gaming on your computer, it beats dusting off the old Nintendo or paying big bucks for the original games on eBay.
During installation, this game will try to change your homepage and search to Bing. Make sure you opt out of that if you don't want it. The game takes a while to install and displays an error unless you run it as an administrator. Even if you're logged in as the administrator account, it makes you right-click and choose "Run as administrator." The game does play smoothly once you've finally set it up. It even runs with premier graphics and sound on computers with older processors. If you didn't know any better, you'd believe New Super Mario Forever 2012 was made by Nintendo. The only unprofessional elements are the frequent instances of broken English. The really smooth gameplay and abundance of levels make up for that, though. The game even supports USB controllers and expands well to HDTVs if you want to play it like you would on a console.

Super Mario Blue Twilight DX

Blue Twilight has been made as the unofficial continuation of the last Mario game under the pretence that just as the Italian plumber saved the princess once again, she was snatched away by a ghostly figure that Mario must now find and thwart.
As you make your way through the game you'll notice Mario making some strange sound effects whether he's celebrating finding a mushroom or jumping in any of a variety of ways. The system for his power level is taken from Mario 3D and works by giving him six "strikes", in the form of segments in a circle, before losing a life.
We would have preferred to see the traditional system whereby the hero grows by eating mushrooms and shrinks when hit by an enemy, but then again, segments work too.
One of the things that make the Super Mario games what they are is the movement and abilities of the characters. In this respect Blue Twilight strays slightly away, with the result that it doesn't quite feel like you are playing Mario but some other, clunkier impostor. For example, the clone "Mario Forever" hits the spot when it comes to character physics and so feels like the real deal, making it that bit more playable.
Nonetheless, Blue Twilight is fun to play and will appeal to most fans if not for the gameplay then for the unmistakable Nintendo-style music.
Pros
  • Lots of levels
  • Free
  • Extra hidden features
Cons
  • Character's movement unlike original
  • Can't be played full screen

    Metal Slug X

Metal Slug X is a modified version of Metal Slug 2 released in 1999 for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform by SNK. It introduces some new features like new weapons, enemy replacement and greater difficulty. It was later ported to the Neo Geo AES (May 1999) and the PlayStation (January 2001).

    New features

In Metal Slug X, the player can turn fat in various areas of the game, instead of just on mission 4. There is also a new enemy, the Dog Mummy, as well as a few variations of the Mummy that later appeared in Metal Slug 3. The SV-001 got an upgraded version that is faster and can jump higher, and the Camel Slug's vulcan was slightly modified. Metal Slug X also features some new weapons:
    • The Enemy Chaser sends rockets that track down enemies at random;
    • The Iron Lizard fire a remotely controlled missile car that travels on ground and explodes at contact;
    • The Drop Shot fire anti-personnel landmine that bounce on the ground until it hits an enemy;
    • The Super Grenade fire a large RPG that travels forward and causes a massive explosion.
The older weapons also got more powerful versions with greater firepower.

    Another Mission
The Playstation version features a new mode that is unlocked after beating the game. This mode has a series of different challenges like going to the end of the course unarmed or beating all enemies using only grenades. After beating all challenges, new pictures are added to the Art Gallery of the game.

    Metal Slug 7

Metal Slug 7 (メタルスラッグ 7?) is a run and gun video game developed by SNK Playmore for the Nintendo DS. It is the eighth title in the main Metal Slug series. It was announced in the September 2007 issue of Famitsu and marks the first game in the main series that will be released without an arcade version. The game was released in Japan on July 22, 2008 and North America on November 28, 2008 by Ignition Entertainment.
A revised version of the game, titled Metal Slug XX (メタルスラッグ XX?), was released on December 23, 2009 in Japan and North America on February 23, 2010 by Atlus for the PlayStation Portable. This version of the game features additional content, including co-op multiplayer and downloadable content. Metal Slug XX was also released on Xbox Live Arcade on May 19, 2010.

    Story

The Peregrine Falcon Strike Force, the Ikari Warriors, and the SPARROWS are once again on a search for General Morden and his army. Their mission is to catch General Morden and prevent his attempts at another coup d'état on the government. However, as soon as Morden was defeated, a strange army from the future came to his aid. Now, they must face Morden once again and this time, put a stop to his plans once and for all.

There are seven levels and three difficulties: Beginner, Normal and Hard. Metal Slug 7 uses the Nintendo DS touchscreen as a map of the level, making it easier for the player to look at the level and where to get power ups or captured prisoners. The usual weapons make their return from the series including a new weapon called "Thunder Shot", which fires a homing electric blast to the enemy. New to Metal Slug XX is downloadable content which includes the addition of Leona Heidern from The King of Fighters series as a playable character.

    Characters

    New slugs

    The three new vehicles are:
    • Slug Truck: A road train-like machine that works similar to the Metal Slug, except that a cannon must be connected to the unit to access its secondary weapon. You can have up to four cannons connected, and they have unlimited ammo, but they are destroyed with a single shot.
    • Slug Gigant: The Slug Gigant is a giant robot that is capable of massive firepower. Pressing the secondary fire button fires its wave cannon, which neutralizes enemy fire, and throws a punch with its claws. Aiming its gun all the way down causes it to claw enemies on the ground. However, its primary weapon is the standard Vulcan. It has more health than most slugs, and if it is destroyed, the player loses a life and respawns in a new Slug Gigant. Because of this invincibility, it will survive to fight the boss of the level it is in.
    • Heavy Armor: Has both vulcan and cannon. Can slide at high speed by holding D-pad down and a direction. Referred to in the manual as the Slug Gunner.

    Metal Slug 6

Metal Slug 6 (メタルスラッグ 6?) is a run and gun video game for the Sammy Atomiswave arcade platform in the Metal Slug series. It was released in 2006. There was a PS2 port on September 14, 2006. It is also featured in Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable.

Metal Slug 6 returns to the Rebel-Martian alliance featured in Metal Slugs 2, X, and 3, but on a much broader scale. Rather than repeating the previous games' events of the Martians breaking the alliance and the Rebels assisting the player in turn, the player now teams up with the Rebels and Martians to combat an even greater threat.
There are now two modes of play the player can choose from right at the beginning: Easy and Hard. Easy mode lowers the difficulty of the game and changes the player's default weapon to the Heavy Machine Gun; however, the game ends just before the fifth and final mission.
As with previous installments, Metal Slug 6 adds a number of new Slugs as well as a new weapon, the Zantetsu Sword, which allows the player's melee weapon to emit lethal energy waves that can neutralize enemy firepower.
New techniques are now present, activated through certain button combinations. Characters can now throw away one gun power-up's worth of ammunition, to give to the other player or simply discard altogether. A secondary melee attack is also available. Conversely, the sliding technique from Metal Slug 5 has been removed, and players except Fio and Ralf only receive half as much ammo for special guns.
Metal Slug 6 introduces a new play mechanic dubbed the 'Weapon Stock System'. Two gun power-ups can now be carried at the same time. Players can switch between the two weapons, or simply put them both away in favor of the default weapon. When obtaining a new weapon power-up, it will automatically occupy the inactive slot, or, if both are holstered, replace the less recent weapon of the two.
The score is now multiplied by powers of 2. The faster the speed at which enemies are killed, the higher the power, as a meter at the bottom of the screen shows. When it says "Max" enemies and destructible objects will drop coins for an extra high score.

    Characters

The number of playable characters has expanded for the first time since Metal Slug 2; the original team of Marco Rossi, Tarma Roving, Eri Kasamoto and Fio Germi is joined by newcomers Ralf Jones and Clark Still of King of Fighters and Ikari Warriors fame.
As a series first, each playable character now possesses his or her own unique attributes. The amount of ammunition received from weapons, defensive ability of vehicles, and running speed vary from person to person, each of whom possess a special ability:
    • Marco: His default weapon (Pistol on Hard, Heavy Machine Gun on Easy) has twice the ordinary strength.
    • Tarma: While riding in or on a Slug, durability and the effects of power-ups are doubled; additionally, the vulcan cannon's power is increased by 50%. He also is capable of using Vulcan Fix when on or in any vehicle.
    • Fio: Begins each mission with the Heavy Machine Gun (on Easy mode, she begins with the Big Heavy Machine Gun from Metal Slug X and 3). Weapon supply is also increased by 50%.
    • Eri: Receives twice as many grenades upon starting or resupplying. When throwing, she can aim in a specific direction.
    • Ralf: Melee attack speed is doubled, at the expense of weapon and grenade supplies being halved. He can also use the special "Vulcan Punch" attack. Additionally, he can take two hits from most attacks before losing a life. Lastly, he is the only character able to damage vehicles and larger enemies with his melee attacks.
    • Clark: Gets an extra chance at start of respawn. He can perform his "Super Argentine Backbreaker" against most non-vehicle enemies; using it on a vulnerable target grants him temporary invincibility during and after the move, while earning generous amounts of points that increase with each additional enemy thrown.
When all 4 missions are completed on Easy mode, the game says "To be continued", meaning that the game must be played on Hard mode to continue with the final mission and see the ending.

    New Slugs

The Metal Slug, Type-R Metal Slug, Slug Flyer and a Slug Gunner prototype make an appearance in the game, as well as some new ones.
Roba Slug: A donkey with a mounted vulcan cannon. Like all Animal Slugs, the donkey provides no protection to the rider. Later on in the level, the Donkey Slug acquires a two-wheeled out-house cart mounted with a Metal Slug cannon that replaces the player's grenade with Metal Slug cannon shots. It can also serve as a platform.
Mister Slug: Also called Slug Drilled. A multi-purpose subterranean digger as well as a helicopter. It has retractable drills on the left, right, and bottom sides, which are used to drill into the earth, and sports two vulcan cannons, which can also be used to drill through things by firing bullets into the dirt. The players cannot get out of the Slug, neither can they perform the Metal Slug attack with it. If the Slug Digger is destroyed, the player is killed. Its cannon shot is a mine that stays in place until an enemy touches it or it is shot.
Proto Gunner: It is similar to the Slug Gunner from MS5, but it has no melee attack, it does not have tank mode, and the player is exposed to enemy attacks. Its vulcan cannon is more like that of the Metal Slug and it has vulcan fix system.
Rootmars: Previously the final boss in MS3. The cannon is a shockwave coming from Rootmars's brain which kills all enemies. If the player rides him, in the ending he, instead of Morden, saves the player.

    Ports

The PS2 version of Metal Slug 6 came with extra features:
    • Art Gallery - Concept art of Metal Slug 1 to 6.
    • Sound Gallery - Music from Metal Slug 1 to 6.
    • Game Options - Including difficulty, lives, and violence setting (on: red blood and gore for soldiers and for the new aliens; their gore stays on the ground shortly before disappearing). Two cheats can also be unlocked: infinite ammunition and bombs.
    • Combat School - A modified version of Arcade Mode where skills are tested.

    Metal Slug 5

Metal Slug 5 (メタルスラッグ 5?) is a run and gun video game for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform created by SNK Playmore. It was released in 2003 for the MVS arcade platform, is the fifth game in the Metal Slug series, and was one of the last games for the Neo Geo system. The game was developed by Noise Factory/SNK Playmore, after Korean company Mega Enterprise had directed Metal Slug 4.
The biggest difference from previous titles is the addition of the slide move, which allows the player to evade and maneuver in a new fashion. Unlike its predecessor Metal Slug 4, which reused many of the backgrounds from the previous games, Metal Slug 5 incorporates a wealth of new environments and backgrounds and features a more Heavy metal influenced soundtrack.
It was later ported to Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 2 as a separate game in Japan and Europe, and along with Metal Slug 4 as a compilation in North America. It was also ported to Microsoft Windows for a Korean release.

    Plot

A special disc that contains deep and intricate secrets about the Metal Slug project is stolen by a mysterious group called the Ptolemaic Army, whose speciality lies from within archaeological excavation and espionage. Marco and Tarma of the Peregrine Falcon Strike Force follow in hot pursuit against the group and in the process are joined by Eri and Fio of SPARROWS. Together once more, the quartet investigate the shrouded objective of the Ptolemaic Army.

    Differences from previous games

    • The player may now perform a slide-dash.
    • "Fat mode" is the only remaining modifier, for there are no zombies, mummies, aliens or other such supernatural creatures, although the final boss is a large demon.
    • Morden's infantry, Morden himself and Allen O'Neil are nowhere to be found in this game; rather, one fights armies of veiled terrorists, special forces, and assorted mecha. As a result, this game lacks much of the sense of humor of its predecessors. However, most the new enemies are mostly edits of Rebel soldier sprites.
    • With the exception of the first and third levels, the game does not have branching paths.
    • The "Flame shot" has been omitted. According to the Debug level, the Flame Shot is present in the code.
    • The medal system from Metal Slug 4 has been abandoned.
    • Playable characters Trevor and Nadia have been omitted in favor of Eri and Tarma.
    • There are cutscenes at various points throughout the game, rather than one or two at the end, giving the game a hint of progression of plot.
    • A remixed version of "Final Attack" is played whilst facing the final boss.
    • Different enemy masked colors. In Arcade Version, Masked color purple, but in Console Version, their masked colors are red.

    New vehicles and Slugs

Only three new vehicles were added, though the Metal Slug, Slug Mariner, and Slug Flyer make a return.
    • The first new vehicle, the Slug Gunner, is the ultimate evolution of the Metal Slug and Level Armor. The Gunner fires a machine gun, a chassis-mounted cannon, and can punch enemies with a close-combat exploding metal spike "cannon". The Gunner can perform a mid-air jump like that of the Level Armor. The Gunner can transform from a walker into a tank, and can move slightly faster in addition to running over infantry. However, the gunner is slow, takes a while to turn, and only has a 180-degree firing arc (360-degree while in the air).
    • The second new vehicle is the Car Slug or the TIAF 660. This is a car with a 360-degree vulcan cannon attached. Its secondary fire is an oversized Enemy Chaser. Of particular interest is that the player cannot eject from the vehicle, meaning they die when its destroyed, and will subsequently respawn in a new Car Slug.
    • The Spider Slug is a giant squid-like walker with two legs tethered to the floor and to the ceiling; jumping raises or lowers the cockpit. The Spider Slug is armed with 360-degree firing vulcan cannons, and a harpoon gun.

    Metal Slug 4

Metal Slug 4 (メタルスラッグ4?) is a run and gun video game for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform created by SNK. It was released in 2002 for the MVS arcade platform and is the fourth game in the Metal Slug series. 2 years later, Playmore published Metal Slug 4. This was also the only Metal Slug game that was produced during SNK's bankruptcy, until its sequel was released after SNK was "resurrected" as SNK Playmore.
Metal Slug 4 retains the same gameplay as previous titles, with the addition of some new enemies, bosses, weapons, several new vehicles and a new bonus combo system. It was later ported to Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 2 as a separate game in Japan and Europe, and along with Metal Slug 5 as a compilation in North America.

A bonus scoring system was added that allows the player to be rewarded depending on how many enemies are killed in the time allotted. The time allotted is determined from the type of emblem that is picked up. A time meter will appear on the top of the screen, and if the player lives through the end of the level, they will be awarded bonus points for badges that represent feats accomplished. Eri and Tarma were replaced with Nadia and Trevor.

    Story

One year after the events of Metal Slug 3, the world is trembling under the new threat of a mysterious but deadly cyber virus that threatens to attack and destroy any nation's military computer system. With Tarma and Eri unable to help due to their own assignments in the matter, Marco and Fio are called in to investigate the situation and are joined by two newcomers, Nadia and Trevor. In their investigation, the group discovers that a terrorist organization known as Amadeus is behind the nefarious plot and that they head into battle against Amadeus' forces, hoping to destroy the cyber virus before it gets the chance to wipe out the entire world's military computer system.
Halfway through the game's story mode, the player is confronted by one who they presume to be Morden, however in the final stage they find an underground facility where Terminator - like doubles of Morden are being manufactured. Allen O' Neil (who has appeared numerous times throughout the series) fights the player in this stage for the very last time, and is also revealed to be a machine like the Morden doubles before he is destroyed and the player confronts the leader of Amadeus.

    New features

    • Double Heavy Machine Guns [2H]: The stronger version of the Heavy Machine Gun [H] in the previous series. Allow players to carry two submachine guns which cause the damage of 1 per shot and with more rapid firing than Heavy Machine Guns. However, the 2Hs are very rare in the game and only have 200 shots like the Heavy Machine Gun and can only fire in four directions.
    • Bradley: First appeared in MS2 as an enemy rocket shooting vehicle, it is equipped with powerful rocket shots and a vulcan cannon like the slugs, players can use it after killing the enemy soldier inside it. However, this vehicle has a very short jumping range and crouches much slower than the other vehicles, and will not become temporarily invincible after receiving an attack from the enemy.
    • Metal Crow: First appeared in MS1 as the "Melty Honey" under the control of the Rebel soldiers. It will appear with Bradley in stage two if under two players mode. It is equipped with a blade-covered shield that shreds enemies, and also enables it to take five shots before it is destroyed. Also in stage 5.
    • Crawler: Mechanical version of the sub-human mutants from Metal Slug 2/X which appears in stage four. Much like the Camel Slug in the previous two games, it provides no protection to the player, but has a slightly better jumping ability and also does not harm the player if it touches a rolling bomb.
    • Forklift Truck: It will appear in stage 5 with the Metal Crow. Like the Drill Slug from MS3, it can "jack up" if the player presses the jump button during the on board in the Forklift Truck. It will stab the enemy with the fork at the front in the player presses the bomb button. Its fork can shred the enemy also. The Forklift Truck does not have a vulcan cannon; rather, the player uses whatever weapon they have. The player is always exposed to enemy attacks.
    • Monkey Transformation: In the underground path of stage 1 and the final stage, there are scientists with rifles. These aren't loaded with bullets but a special chemical shot, that transforms characters into gibbons which are rather like the monkey Utan in Metal Slug 3. Players gain a much stronger jumping ability and the ability to hang on the bars over their heads, which saves them from most of the attacks from the enemy, although they are unable to shoot upward while on the bars (they can still shoot in horizontal directions and directly downwards). But they can only fire a small gun which is similar to the Heavy Machine Gun, walk very slowly, and take longer to throw grenades. Players can be transformed back into human form by picking up an antidote dropped by scientists. This transformation is the only one in the series with an animation for returning to human form, in which the player falls asleep as a monkey then promptly wakes up as a human. Players who are hit by the chemical shot while in monkey form will die.

    Metal Slug 3

Metal Slug 3 (メタルスラッグ 3?) is a run and gun video game developed by SNK. It was originally released in 2000 for the Neo-Geo MVS arcade platform as the sequel to Metal Slug 2/Metal Slug X. The music of the game was developed by Noise Factory. The game was later ported to the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Virtual Console, Xbox 360 (via Xbox Live Arcade),Android and iOS, and to the Wii, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 (as part of the Metal Slug Anthology).

The gameplay mechanics are the same as in previous Metal Slug games; the player(s) must shoot constantly at a continual stream of enemies in order to reach the end of each level. At this point, the player confronts a boss, who is usually considerably larger and tougher than regular enemies. On the way through each level, the player can find numerous weapon upgrades and "Metal Slug" tanks. The tank is known as the SV-001 ("SV" stands for Super Vehicle), which not only increases the player's offense, but considerably adds to their defense.
In addition to shooting, the player can also perform melee attacks by using a knife and/or kicking. The player does not die simply by coming into contact with enemies, and correspondingly, many of the enemy troops also have melee attacks. Much of the game's scenery is also destructible, and occasionally, this reveals extra items or power-ups, although most of the time it simply results in collateral damage.
During the course of a level, the player also encounters POWs, who, if freed, offer the player bonuses in the form of random items or weapons. At the end of each level, the player receives a scoring bonus based on the number of freed POWs. If the player dies before the end of the level, the tally of freed POWs reverts to zero.

    New features

    Branching paths

A new feature in Metal Slug 3 is the branching path system; in most missions, there are forking paths from which the player must choose one, each with their own obstacles, and each of varying length and difficulty. All paths eventually lead to the same boss battle, but the player may have different equipment, and may have rescued more or fewer hostages depending on their choice of path.

    Vehicles

Several new vehicles were introduced into the game:
    • The "Slug Driller" can be found in the underground part of Mission 4. The drill is capable of mowing down every enemy in front of it and can also be extended. Additionally, the Driller can increase its height, making the player unreachable to enemies.
    • The "Slug Mariner" gives added firepower when underwater. It fires high-mass rounds which sink to the bottom, as well as torpedoes.
    • The "Elephant Slug" is an elephant strapped with a Vulcan cannon. By picking up a battery or a chili pepper, the elephant can fire a bolt of lightning or a fireball from its trunk, respectively.
    • The "Ostrich Slug" is similar to the "Camel Slug" in Metal Slug 2/Metal Slug X, although it is faster, can jump farther, and can turn around.
    • The "lv Rebel Armor" is a rebel-produced vehicle that can be captured and used by the player. It comes equipped with a heavy machine gun, which is interchangeable with other handheld weapons. It also has a grenade launcher, a melee claw attack, and jump jets. The second player can stand on top of the Rebel Armor, and can receive a boost.
    • The "Slug Copter" appears alongside the "Slug Flyer" in the airborne portion of the Final Mission. Its Vulcan cannon can fire in all directions, unlike the Flyer. It is also armed with gravity bombs.
    • The "Astro Slug" is used jointly by the players and the Rebel forces. Booster rockets carry it into space, where the player can make use of its weaponry. Like the Rebel Armor, the Astro Slug can use infantry weapons through ports on its sides. It fires rockets as a secondary weapon.

    Character transformation

As with Metal Slug 2/Metal Slug X, the player can transform into various different states. In addition to the mummy form from the previous game, other forms include:
    • When doused with infectious material, the player becomes a zombie. While medication is available to reverse the effect, the zombified player can make use of a devastating (but slow) vomit attack that covers most of the forward area. The player cannot crouch, jump high, or make use of any heavy weaponry or vehicles, but is immune to attacks from enemies (except zombified enemies). If a zombified player comes into contact with infectious material, they will die.
    • Underwater, the player equips a Scuba set with a bubble helmet. Rather than grenades, the player uses a bomb-launching system with the ordnance affected by gravity.
    • When flying, should the player lose their vehicle, they rely on a backup jet pack that can fire heat seeking missiles.
    • When in space, if the player loses the Astro Slug, they must depend on a jet pack and a breathing apparatus. Explosives are contained in the pack, and when fired they cause a massive fireball.

    Plot

Several years ago, the evil General Mordern was foiled in his attempted coup d'état against the worlds' governments by the Peregrine Falcon Strike Force. After forming an alliance with an alien race in an attempt to stage another coup, Mordern was betrayed and taken prisoner by his new found allies. His rebels troops then formed an ad hoc alliance with the Strike Force, and ultimately, the aliens were defeated, although Mordern himself was apparently killed.
Instrumental in defeating Morden during the first coup were Cpt. Marco Rossi and Lt. Tarma Roving. Rossi (now a Major) and Roving (now a Captain) also led the fight against the Mordern during the second coup, this time joined by two members of the Intelligence Agency's Special Ops Squad S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S.; Sgt. Eri Kasamoto and Sgt. 1st Class Fiolina Germi.
Several years have passed since that time, and Mordern is officially listed as missing by his surviving followers. Determined to wipe out every remnant of Mordern's powerbase, the army send Rossi and Roving to destroy all remaining rebel strongholds, one by one. During the fighting, however, Rossi and Roving come to the conclusion that the enemy is too well organised, and perhaps Mordern is not as dead as was initially thought. Meanwhile, the S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. come across a series of strange events which lead the army to conlude that the aliens with whom Mordern once allied himself have returned.
The Peregrine Falcon Strike Force and S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. are once again united, and sent to defeat this new threat. After various battles against Mordern's forces, the heroes are shocked to face off against Mordern himself. However, after defeating him, it is revealed that it was really an alien in disguise, and the real Morden has (once again) been taken prisoner by the aliens. The aliens then abduct the player character and leave Earth. At this point, another character takes the player character's place. Once again, an ad hoc alliance is formed between the Strike Force and Mordern's troops so as to save their captured comrades. The rebels launch an armada of rocket ships to attack the alien mother ship, Rugname. After a long battle through the ship's interior, the Rugname starts to collapse due to the amount of damage it has sustained. After destroying the ship's core, the Strike Force must fight their way through armies of clones of their captured team mate, some of whome have turned into zombies. Eventually, both the captured member of the Strike Force and Mordern are freed. As they escape, however, they are confronted by the aliens' leader, Rootmars. A battle ensues in Earth's atmosphere, which is won by the Strike Force, who leave Rootmars' body in the ocean. Upon seeing Morden and his men celebrating, the player character throws his/her weapon into the water in disgust.
